After watching we can also give a price estimate, and asses, is it possible to perform the intervention on the spot, or we need to bring it to the service center.

There is a lot of debate over thermal grease compound renewal. Our advice is to do it once in two years for home use or once a year for everyday business laptops. In order to finish this procedure, technician needs to open the laptop and gain access to the heat sink. There are two possibilities, A: This can be achieved without removing the complete motherboard from the housing B: We must remove the motherboard to do it. In first scenario, we are charging lower amount because it is a smaller job.
Hard disk drive (HDD) is the main storage unit of your machine. Not only it stores your data, but also all the Programs and operating systems that were installed in your laptop. It is usually accessible for the owner, and replacing it physically is not time consuming. The problem comes after the replacement, because the new HDD is empty, so your laptop won’t boot up. If there is a backup DVD made by owner after first use, then it is easier, if not we must determine what OS and with what programs were installed previously on the machine and try to install everything as it was before. We can also try to recover data from the old HDD if it is not completely inaccessible. The bright side of this problem is that you can choose to upgrade your laptop with a bigger HDD or speed it up with a SSD HDD if you previously didn’t have one installed.
As discussed earlier, this is our specialty. After 15 years of repairing motherboards we are confident when we claim that if it is possible, it will be repaired. When there is no picture, there are several possibilities. First there is LCD cable, the link between the board and the screen. Second we have screen itself and third is the VGA board. Our experience is the key to making the right diagnose and to repair the right component. When it comes to the screen itself there are great variety of models in modern laptops there is a difference in in resolution as well as in appearance. we will always try to replace the screen with original spare, but if there is a possibility of upgrade, we will inform the customer of all the options.
Usually, audio chip is located on the motherboard, although sometimes there is a separate audio board. This is a smaller intervention then replacing GPU or north-bridge, so we are charging less then for general motherboard repair.
Usually we connect our laptops to other devices or Internet with WLAN, but we can also use LAN, blue-tooth, NFC, etc. If there is a mechanical damage to some of your connectors please refer to connector repair. When there is no visible damage, but you still have no connection, then the issue can be either hardware or software. Maybe a driver needs to be installed? Or a component of the system stopped working. Sometimes the problem is not showing all of the time, and we must investigate under witch circumstances it is happening? Usually these problems are quickly solved within a day.
Older laptops were using CCFL lamp to produce back-light for the panel. CCFL were driven by inverters (see picture). Now, the back light is integrated in the screen, but it still can be repaired WITHOUT replacing the complete screen. This way, our knowledge is saving your money. We can also replace LED's inside the screen!
When you have a broken USB or HDMI connector, you are in big risk, because you can damage the complete motherboard by trying to use it. There are multiple lines that start sparking and this surge can damage the next component that is connected to it. Sometimes the damage is too great and the connector can't be used at all. Connectors are usually located on the motherboard itself so changing them implies soldering on the motherboard. The shape of them is not universal so the new connector must be exactly the same as the old one. We have such skills that it is hard to notice anything different between our newly installed connector and the others that we didn't need to change.
Hinges are one of the most vulnerable parts of a laptop. They need to endure multiple openings an closings during the day and keep the unit complete. Designers have always opposed requests, to make them as small as possible, but at the same time to make them strong. Usually cheaper laptops suffer from problems with hinges, but it happens from time to time that even HI end models come with a broken hinge. In dependence of where it brakes, it can also damage the housing of the laptop. Sometimes it is very expensive to replace all the broken parts with new, so, with approval of the customer we use industrial epoxy and acrylic glue to repair the damaged back covers or cases.
Virus attack, too many programs installed, conflicting software, not updated OS, the list of possible causes for your computer to slow down is endless. Sometimes it happens suddenly after an update, or sometimes the speed decreases gradually after some time. If all tutorials and friends fail, you should come to a professional. Sometimes repair of the existing OS is too complicated or it will simply take too much time, so we proceed with re installation. All the time we are trying to keep all your data intact. It is always recommended that you make a backup of all your data before coming to us. You can use USB Drive or cloud backup.
If your laptop cannot be charged nor connected to a charger and you tried with another charger, then the problem isn't in the charger but in the laptop itself. DC Jack or charger connector is the name of the part that usually needs to be changed. It sometimes has a visible damage, so it's easy to identify the problem, but sometimes we must use Multimeter to confirm the fault. This connector(jack) is usually located on the motherboard itself, so this is another variant of motherboard repair.
Laptop chargers are usually sold for prices around 50 dhs for a replacement, not original charger up till 200 dhs or even more for a original one. If you want to keep your original charger, and you are convinced that it is easily repairable, we can try to repair it before selling you a new one. If the repair does not succeed we do not charge anything
